
Sion Resources is a Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) approved security training contractor. With our specialist training team comprising former Police Service of Northern Ireland Close Protection Unit and Counter Terrorist instructors, Sion has developed a new industry bench mark in security and tactical training licensed and recognized by the Security Industry Authority of the United Kingdom.
Sion's instructors have an unprecedented wealth of experience and expertise in the fields of close protection and urban counter terrorism operations. With their extensive knowledge the Sion team have devised and implemented the only SIA Close Protection course that is directly engineered towards personnel operating with clients at high risk from terrorist threat.
Our comprehensive course will train and prepare close protection operators for the demanding field of tier 1 (high risk) security operations. The course is designed to take our students to the limits of their physical and mental abilities, ensuring that those who graduate are among the best trained operators in the field today.
With the further introduction of specialist speakers from the unique fields of intelligence and counter terrorism candidates will benefit from a wide spectrum of experience and knowledge based instruction ensuring that with the full support of BNU and the SIA, our candidates will receive the most in-depth, up to date and comprehensive training available today.
On completion of the course, graduates will gain a Level 3 Certificate in Close Protection Operations and 15 of the 20 credits towards the Buckingham New University Foundation Degree in Protective Security.
Graduates will also benefit from the Sion Resources placement programme. Using its unique position within the British Association of Private Security Companies (BAPSC), and the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) Sion's team will work with course graduates on seeking operational positions within its own and other member's organisations.
